After hearing what the big news was, I wish all the best to Allgames and Derrick but wish to voice some concerns.
I've listened to Allgames shows for many years but have zero interest in any of the Live stuff and only listen exclusively to the podcasts, so I don't think there will be anything on the Kickstarter for me to pledge to. If it was just for DPL I would drop $100 with no hesitation for the many years of entertainment, but if it's focused for Allgames, I'm sorry to say I don't really care.
My other concern is something Derrick said about community and Allgames.
A big reason many of the shows didn't really get involved with the Big Battle is because the majority of the time it involves a specific niche that Derrick enjoys, either old arcade games from 30 years ago or racing games. And many of the other show hosts usually will not care about that type of game.
So when Derrick asks other shows to promote the Big battle it's like someone from another show trying to tell Derrick to give up 2-3 minutes talking about some RPG competition that the other show is holding.
I just hope that Derrick will not force the other shows to have to shill for stuff that doesn't interest them, because I could see more shows leaving with more rules and restrictions in place.
