The high score right now seems to still be under a million points so if anyone that was in the BBtBB gets involved they really will eat anyone else that's already on the board alive, an since now the competition is getting headlines on high traffic blog sites this is really gonna be a awesome competition. Personally I can't wait to see some of the videos of people getting high scores if they post to them to You Tube or somewhere like that cause I need all the help I can get to boost my score up, an though I'm late to the party a bit congrats to Derrick H on getting YWD onto Twin Galaxies and having a really good contest going.

Well if you have a webcam you could do a digital file too as long as it follows this standard:

Computer File Submissions

Twin Galaxies also accepts computer files recorded to CD and DVD as a means of submitting game video recordings. There are certain parameters that must be met, and they are:

• Only the following types of videos can be accepted: Quicktime .mov and .mp4 files, Microsoft Windows Media Video .wmv files, Audio Video Interleave .avi files and Moving Picture Experts Group .mpeg files. These types of files are generally easily played on any modern PC and the necessary players can be downloaded free of charge.
• Minimum video resolution must be 640x480 – no exceptions.
• Frame rate should match the native frame rate for the type of video source you are recording from/to. What this means is that frames should be allowed to naturally record to the video and no frames should be digitally removed or edited.
• Minimum audio rate must be 44.1kHz (CD Quality) – no exceptions. The audio can, however, be produced in surround, stereo or monaural quality at the discretion of the gamer.
• You must explain to the referee you send the file to what codec you used to make the video. It would also be advisable to make the codec that you used to create the video available to the referee. Please consider that it is the responsibility of the gamer/producer of the video to create a video that a referee can watch on their computer. It is highly recommended that you create your video in a format that is PC friendly and can easily be viewed in either Windows Media Player or the Quicktime Viewer.

Does anyone have any inclination to post a score for this? It just seems odd that there has been next to no movement on the YWD leaderboards in the last 2 months and no one has even bothered to put a higher score up than 800,000 to take 2nd. I'm sure out of my own paranoia i'll try to put up a higher score, but sniping generally happens in the next 24-36 hours. Anyone?

i got a recorded high score over 5 million. i have it on dvd. i printed out the twin galaxy official high score document. i emailed them asking where to send the dvd... they never responded to the email. if anyone knows what referee/address to send the dvd too i'd love to get a 2nd place score.

Try contacting them again. Most of the judges have day jobs so they me be a little difficult to nail down. I know a couple of judges are on Facebook (Patrick Scot Patterson) for example, so you may be contact him there.

Mal - Do the submission form and print out the contract. Sign it and scan it if you have a scanner or take a picture. Then, contact Patrick Scott Patterson. You can either send him a DVD or upload it to a file hosting site. I found that out the hard way after sending mine in via DVD. Hope that helps.
