I'm sitting in front of the TV again, moving in figures eights on Space Harrier and I realize that its not nostalgia I'm experiencing. I'm still the same as I was in Lynnhaven Junior High School.Theres a parallel here that is painful to see. The two time periods can be laid over one another and the only difference would be the resolution of the TV. The rest of the scene is the same. I'm sitting alone in a room, controller in hand. It was only a matter of time before the one friend that I had finally realized that there are better ways of spending time than talking to me. I'm hoping that shaving a second off my time in the Emerald Zone, or finishing the next level in Shinobi 3 will take my mind off of the situation I've put myself in. It doesn't. So I retreat back into the pixelated world of Comix Zone.
I hate this title. The problem isn't the game selection or the controls. Both are wonderful. But the main purpose of Sonic Ultimate Genesis collection is to let you relive old memories. Unfortunatley its the memories that aren't very good.
Score 8/10
